Welcome to homeschooling with Sonlight!

I have homeschooled with Sonlight Curriculum from the beginning. My children began going to a traditional school and then we decided to home school. Before they came home, I spent a lot of time researching homeschooling, then I went out and interviewed homeschoolers to see how they did school and what curriculum they used.

These research opportunities taught me many things. The four most important ones are listed below:
1) Spending precious time planning lessons and preparing for school is not for me.
2) Traditional, dry, textbook type programs were not enough to keep us all motivated, workbook based programs were not deep enough to satisfy our desire for learning.
3) Many homeschoolers seemed to switch from one program to another and I saw frustration and learning gaps when they did this.
4) I wanted to find a curriculum that would take us from preschool through high school.

Then I found Sonlight Curriculum and was overjoyed. Sonlight's literature-based program makes learning come alive. The lesson plans are all set up for me and are adaptable to meet the needs of my children. I literally open my Instructor's Guide and "do school". Sonlight offers programs from preschool through high school (we have done preschool through Core 300).
